Committee-Style Structure
The Board utilizes a committee-style structure to deliberate on agenda items. Nearly all matters are first discussed within relevant committees before being recommended for action by the full Board. This collaborative process ensures a thorough review and informed decision-making.

Committee meetings shall not be open to the public, except that the committee chairperson or a majority of the committee may open the meeting to the public or invite persons whose knowledge or expertise may be useful to the committee.

The schedule for agenda preparation adheres to By Law 0170 - Agenda Preparation and Dissemination. The steps involved include:

  1. Committee Meetings

    • Initial discussions and reviews of potential agenda items.
    • Recommendations finalized for presentation to the full Board.
  2. Agenda Drafting

    • Compilation of items based on committee recommendations.
    • Alignment with legal and procedural requirements.
  3. Dissemination

    • Agenda shared with Board members and the public in advance of the meeting, ensuring transparency and allowing for public review.
