I am truly excited to begin my first day as Superintendent of the Bloomingdale School District.
Over the past several weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with many members of the Bloomingdale community, including staff, board members, and the PTA. I’ve also spent time learning about the district and the broader community through school visits, a tour of Butler, and an in-depth tour of Bloomingdale itself. These experiences have already given me a strong sense of the pride, care, and commitment that make this district special. I am grateful for the warm welcome I’ve received and look forward to continuing to listen, learn, and better understand what makes Bloomingdale such a strong community for students.
As I get started, my priority is to be present, approachable, and supportive of the work happening across our schools. I value open communication and collaboration, and I look forward to building relationships with each of you over time.
I also want to take a moment to recognize that today is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day. To our paraprofessionals: thank you. The work you do each day—supporting students, assisting in classrooms, and helping create positive and inclusive learning environments- is essential. You are often the steady presence that students rely on, and your impact does not go unnoticed. I appreciate all that you do for our students and our schools.
I am genuinely looking forward to working alongside all of you and to the important work ahead.
